The Emergency Go Bag Checklist Every Los Feliz Resident Should Have
If you live in Los Feliz, you already know: earthquakes, fires, and power outages are not "if," they are "when."
We are lucky to live in one of LA's most walkable, vibrant neighborhoods. We are also in a city where being prepared is part of being smart.
That is why I put together a simple, California-specific Emergency Go Bag Checklist you can download and print. It covers:
- What to keep in your home kit
- A version for your car (because we all live in them)
- And yes, your pets too

I made it for my clients, friends, and neighbors. Now it is here for you too.
No fluff. No fear. Just a little peace of mind, Los Feliz-style.
Why this matters in Los Feliz specifically
A few reasons emergency preparedness hits different in our neighborhood:
- Hillside terrain. Many Los Feliz homes sit on hillside lots in The Oaks, Franklin Hills, and the Los Feliz Hills. Hillside access can be cut off after major earthquakes, mudslides, or fires.
- Older housing stock. A significant share of Los Feliz homes were built before 1950. Older homes can lose utility service faster and longer in major events.
- Single-road access. Some pockets of The Oaks and the Hills have limited road access. If the main route is blocked, evacuation gets complicated.
- Wildfire proximity. Griffith Park is a wildfire risk corridor, and adjacent neighborhoods (especially in the Hills) need a clear evacuation plan.
These are not reasons to worry. They are reasons to spend 30 minutes putting a kit together.
